We weren’t originally “scheduled” to go to the Toby Keith concert but the president where my husband works called on Thursday and said the tickets were available and could he use them. Ummm….yeah.
Once again its VIP parking and box seats where they will bring beverages to you. The best way to go!
Kip Moore was the opening act. He has a song or two that are “okay” but I wasn’t dying to see him. However, he was nice to look at! I’ll give him credit though, he had laryngitis but pushed through his set.
When Toby came out, it was nonstop music. There wasn’t much chatting or telling stories between songs. He would play 3 or 4 in a row before uttering another spoken word. And that was fine with me.
Always the crowd favorite…it was Red Solo Cup time.
Toby has always been a huge supporter of our US Troops and has done numerous USO tours. For his encore, he performed two of his more Patriotic songs and brought some disable veterans on stage with him to pay tribute to them. He even pulled a few soldiers up on the stage from the audience. And he is very genuine about his admiration for them. He doesn’t do this as part of a “look at me” stunt. His father was a Marine and lost his right eye while serving so Toby knows first hand the sacrifice these folks make.
